TLC Estate Liquidation
The weather was on our side with warm sunny skies, during our latest January Estate Sale in Carmel By The Sea… (thanks to you all for being patient with the “Preferred Customer” entry line on our first day)! Hopefully the interesting collection of goodies inside made it worthwhile in spite of the wait! Should you have missed this sale, all left-overs can be found at the Community Chapel Thrift Shop in Carmel Valley. Additionally, the SPCA Thrift Shop in Carmel (at the Barnyard Shopping Center) has received several “offerings” from a few of our latest events, including an enormous pewter-wash chandelier, fit for a king! Do check out these worthwhile charities for an interesting and economical shopping experience!
Speaking of interesting… don’t forget to click on the Museum Collection of Roy Rogers Memorabilia in our “On-Line Sales” tab at the top of our home page. (With the conclusion of our latest Estate Sale, we now have time to show those of you wishing to see these items painstakingly collected by Carmel’s very own Roy Rogers!)
Additionally, we still have artwork left from a couple of Mid-Century Modern sales that clients have asked us to store (and sell!) so don’t hesitate to email us for appointments to see them.
Last and certainly NOT least, for all of you combination techies and art lovers out there, I wish to mention an incredibly unique BOOK that will be coming out next month on Amazon….a book reminiscent of the beginnings of video games… As a single mother, one always battling for her children to spend more time studying and less time playing Pac Man, I’m proud and honored to place this link on my website. …
"The Art of Video Games"
by curator Chris Melissinos and Co-authored by my son, Patrick O’Rourke, is the companion book to the forthcoming exhibition opening at the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington D.C. this next month!
“…From the Space Invaders of the seventies to sophisticated contemporary epics BioShock….” Over 100 composite images, created by Patrick O’Rourke, illustrate the evolution of video games as an artistic medium, both technologically and creatively”…..
(OK Son, I get it, but… keep your day job!)
So if anyone wonders where I’ll be during the next few weeks, I’ll be packing my woolies and heading East.... (maybe drop in to see someone you’ve all been missing), Patrick’s sister (and former partner at TLC) Tara and the grandies in North Carolina too!
More in store so stay tuned…
Our Guarantee To You
Unlike most area estate sales companies, we prefer not to have a special walk-through for a small group of dealers or friends as this is not fair to the customers on our Preferred Client e-mail and mailing list. Should we have a “presale” be assured that there have been no early sales to friends or antique dealers. We appreciate our dealers & friends but ALL of our customers are very important to us and we will not jeopardize this relationship by giving preferential treatment to a few. Thanks for being our customer.
